Chris Manfre loves cookies, creamsicles and coffee mixed up in a blender and boiled and, from time to time, the media arts. In particular, Digital art, design, motion graphics, interactive media programming, electronic music, and audio engineering.
A seasoned Audio Engineer, Chris has been a resident engineer at Saltair, Avalon Theater, Urban Lounge, Harry O's, and other venues throughout Utah. He's also engineered Blender Magazine's concert series during the Sundance Film Festival, three years running, for acts including The Wailers, Bo Didley, Spearhead, Metallica and many others.
While doing that, he studied Interactive Media and Design before teaching audio and design classes at Salt Lake City's out-of-school program Global Artways/Youth City in 2003. He taught there for 4 years before moving on to Spy Hop.
Chris currently resides as in-house Graphic/Motion Designer for Spy Hop Productions, and also serves as Digital Design, Animation, and Game Design Instructor.
In his spare time, Chris creates electronic music under the pseudonym Pelpp, and has released two full length albums: Pedal (with fellow artist A.Vanvranken in 2004) and Pillow Rockets (solo release in 2007), plus a Netlablel release through Surfaces Netlabel in Lithuania.
Chris also serves on the advisory board for the media design program at the Davis Applied Technology Center.
He's also a full time dad, blastin' the open ballfield often with his 8-year old son, Elijah.
