NEW!  Saturday workshops for the under 13 crowd!

Once a month, come down to Spy Hop for the day and pick up some new digital skills.  Based on our wildly popular summer workshops, these immersive programs give you all the tools to create your own animated or live action film.   Take what you’ve learned back home and make your own movies.

FILMMAKING BASICS
Step behind the camera and get the inside track on story, editing, camera operation and acting – and learn how each plays its part. You’ll team up with other students to create a movie and watch it all together at the end of the day.

January 14 - Ages 7 -9

STOP MOTION MADNESS
Take your love of flip books, drawing, and film, mix it all together and create your own animated film that will blow you away.  Bring your stories, your favorite characters, your sketchpads and your willingness to let your inner artist escape.

February 25
Ages 10 – 12

SONGWRITING
Learn the basics of song composition and recording, try out what you’ve learned in our state-of-the-art recording studio, and leave class with a CD of your tunes.  This class is open to all levels of musicians and no prior songwriting experience is necessary.

THE ANIMATION STATION
Bring your LEGO’s, PlayDoh and illustrations to life in an animated film of your own creation.  Learn to use a video camera, stop motion software and Garageband to create your own short film.

April 28
Ages 7 – 9

3D GAME DESIGN
Learn how to create your own 3D racing game using the program Unity.  Pick a racetrack and create your own world to drive through, then bring your game to life with music and sound effects.
