If you love music and beats, this is your chance to try out something new every month.  Build your own studio, learn all you can about beatmaking and try out our state-of-the-art recording studio.  Happening every month on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, you can learn a ton of new skills.

IN THE MIX: Recording Bands with Pro Tools // Band Boot Camp is the quintessential band recording experience. Record a song by a local indie band using Avid’s Pro Tools software.  See all that goes into recording a song and what comes of artistic choices, technical constraints, and logistical compromises.

In the Mix: Beatmaking with Ableton Live // This class will give you a strong foundation in beatmaking. From sampling to synthesis and everything in between. Using professional systems and software, you’ll tighten your skills and leave with a CD of your tracks.

SFX: Surrounded by Sound
Learn to record, edit and export sound effects using handheld records and Pro Tools software, then team up in groups to turn a script into a full story using only sound.

MIX LIKE A PRO: The Secrets of Pro Tools
Use the gear the professionals do…and learn the ins and outs of Pro Tools software.  We’ll explore common problems that occur in the studio as well as give you all the mixing tips and tricks.  As a final project, you’ll record and mix a song.
