AUDIO

Can you hear your future calling? What does it sound like? If creating visions through sound is your passion, join Spy Hop’s Audio Apprentices. Take your hobby to the next level, gain fundamental knowledge and hands on experience in a professional studio, with professional mentors. You’ll be miles ahead of the game if you want to apply to school in the future, and you’ll have fun doing it!

Audio Apprentices run the Open Mic sessions every Friday night and collaborate with Film and Design Apprentices for all of their audio needs. Audio Apprentices also create the sound design for all of Spy Hop’s PithcNic movies.

FILM

Looking for an opportunity to hone and display your skills? Become a Spy Hop Design Apprentice and express yourself. Apprentices will work together to create video games, websites, and graphic design using Unity 3D, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects. As a Design Apprentice, you will create a project for a local business; create a complete 3D video game as a team, and create personal projects along the way. You will leave this class with a portfolio of your work.

Previous Design Apprenticeship projects have included Motion Graphics Animation for Park City TV, a video game about the myths and effects of drunk driving, website design for various local nonprofits and T-shirts and stickers to promote Spy Hop Productions.

DESIGN

Do you dream of working in the film industry? Take your skills to the next level with Spy Hop’s Film and video apprenticeship. The Film and Video Apprenticeship offers insight into the world of production, from the script to the screen. Professional mentors guide you through the experience, personal vision, and technical ability that are used to produce documentary, fiction, and television commercials. Collaborate with local businesses to produce short films, commercials and more.

Previous Film Apprenticeship projects have included a training video for volunteers for the Salt Lake City Sheriff’s Department, a Safe Graduation PSA for Salt Lake County and a portrait piece for Ingles Para Latinos.
