The Spy Hop Annual Benefit 2008: BEHIND THE SCENES is specifically designed to raise funds for the organization’s four core programs including the Pitch-Nic Young Writer and Director program, Multimedia Apprenticeship program, Youth Documentary Arts program, and Loud and Clear Youth Radio program. The evening begins with a reception followed by a special presentation of youth produced music and films and then the highlight of the evening, a lively all-bids-accepted auction. Interactive media will be part of the reception hour, with booths set-up representing the different Spy Hop programs. Guests will have a chance to meet and speak with a number of youth involved in Spy Hop and see their work in action. The auction itself is entirely unconventional in that no material prizes are given away. Line items are intangibles; a Documentary Arts scholarship for a potential student, Executive Producer credit on a Pitch-Nic film, or underwriting for a Youth Radio program. There is no limit on how much or what you bid on, and all of the money raised goes to supporting the programs and services Spy Hop provides to our youth and community. This is a great event for anyone interested in learning more about Spy Hop and supporting positive youth development.
